Big Features of the Newest Flagship Mobiles

As the holiday season approaches, the rumour mill for the newest mobile flagships starts to swirl as fans and enthusiasts try and predict what the manufacturers next big options may have in store – there are some near certainties to be expected, upgraded cameras have become par for the course, minor changes to other internal hardware has been a theme but allows a chance for a bigger change to come through too, and more unique software updates are to be desired.

Mobile use has rapidly changed in a short period of time, users are holding onto their devices for a longer period of time as little change is needed in order to keep up with the favourite pastimes on mobile, dedicated sites for online gaming particularly with the likes of casinos at sites like these don’t require a flashy new phone, and simply streaming the latest movie releases or the biggest music can be done on a budget device – this changing desire to use devices in a different way likely won’t have an impact on the upcoming devices, but disappointing sales for previous devices may lead to a changing of priorities.

Something that many will hope to see at least will be a change to batteries in the latest devices – power draw has become a big issue and although faster charging offsets this somewhat, battery drain is at an all-time high, and many users may find themselves having to charge their device multiple times per day. Battery tech has been falling behind the rest of the curve for quite some time – there are always rumours around potential battery capacity with every device every year, and this year is no different with a reported smaller battery design than previously, so if battery usage is of the higher priority, these newer options may leave many disappointed.

Displays have become another rumour, and well known leakers have suggested that some devices could come in with a smaller screen this year as manufacturers look to take a step-back from the oversized ‘phablet’ design that has been common over the past few years – the notable one has been suggestions that the Samsung Galaxy S22 could move back from a 6.2” display back down to a 6” display – whilst not a huge difference, should make a notable difference to some, and this will extend across the flagships as all big devices from the manufacturer are suggested to be shrinking by a small amount. Suggestions also come that more display tech could help save with battery life, but that’s yet to be seen.

With a potential Christmas or early 2022 release, rumours will continue to pour in for a number of weeks yet, but there are plenty of opportunities for something unique and something ground-breaking to appear and really change the newer devices, but common thought is more of the same.
